THE OPPORTUNITY

There are homes you tour. Then there are homes you remember.

The Dolese Mansion has been part of Oklahoma City’s conversation for generations. Located at 729 NW 38th Street in the heart of Crown Heights, this estate carries the kind of scale, architectural character, and neighborhood presence that newer builds spend millions trying to imitate and never quite get there.

It’s connected to the Dolese family name, rooted in one of Oklahoma City’s most established historic neighborhoods, and it represents something most buyers search for their entire lives without ever finding. A home with a real story. A home that has meant something to this city for nearly ninety years.

This is not another listing. It’s a chance to own a piece of Oklahoma City history.

"There is nothing- no, nothing- ordinary about the Dolese Mansion. It overwhelms the visitor with its opulence."

The Daily Oklahoman

THE STORY

Nearly a century of
Oklahoma history
Under one roof.

Some properties are known by their address. The Dolese Mansion is known by its name. Originally rooted in the early residential development of Crown Heights, the estate became associated with Roger and Ardith Dolese, whose family name runs deep in Oklahoma industry and community history.

The mansion earned a place on the National Register of Historic Places. It was chosen not once but twice as the Oklahoma City Philharmonic’s prestigious Symphony Show House. Only two families have owned it in nearly ninety years.

Early 1930s

Two neighboring homes built in the heart of Crown heights.

1940's

Roger Dolese unifies the homes. Crystal chandeliers, marble, and hand-carved paneling arrive from Europe.

1997

Selected as the Oklahoma City Philharmonic’s Symphony Show House. Full Restoration begins from original Dolese blueprints.

2005

Interior architect Jason Johnston updates interiors while preserving original Dolese character.

2024

Named a second time as the Oklahoma City Philharmonic’s Symphony Show House.

You can’t feel the weight of the original staircase through a screen. You can’t see how the light moves through those European fixtures in a listing photo. You can’t understand the scale of this home until you’re standing inside it.
